This May, both Babette Social Eatery in Sheung Wan and the newly opened Chouchou in Wan Chai will offer curated menus designed to honour mothers with exceptional French cuisine and genuine hospitality.

At Babette Social Eatery, families can experience the warmth and conviviality of a modern Parisian bistro. For Mother’s Day, Executive Chef Cédric Tsia presents a four-course menu priced at HK$458 per guest, featuring a selection of exciting new dishes introduced just for the occasion.

To start, guests will enjoy both of Babette’s enticing new starters. The Tartare de Boeuf en Toast combines finely chopped Polmard beef with tangy gribiche sauce and crispy shallots on buttery brioche, offering a rich and savoury bite. Alongside, the Tomates Anciennes showcases juicy local heirloom tomatoes with cured strawberries and confit tomato, offering a refreshing, subtly sweet contrast to the tartare.

For the middle course, guests are treated to Mother’s Day Special Gnocchis—pillowy-soft and served in a rich garlic-miso cream, accented by comté cheese, lemon, and fresh herbs for a satisfying, bright bite. For the mains, in addition to Babette’s signature Poulet Jaune—roasted yellow chicken with crisp skin and juicy meat—guests are invited to try the Cocotte de la Mer, featuring fresh clams, octopus, and Murray cod, gently cooked with potatoes and sea asparagus in a fragrant saffron sauce for a vibrant taste of the sea.

To finish, indulge in Babette’s beloved rice pudding, luxuriously creamy and lightly sweetened, a timeless favourite that provides a warm and nostalgic end to this memorable Mother’s Day celebration.
