Prada unveils its latest collection of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories, paying tribute to tradition through a contemporary lens. The brand also launches a special Qixi campaign, reinterpreting the ancient love story behind China’s romantic festival.

According to legend, the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl were separated for eternity by the Milky Way, only able to reunite once a year on Qixi, when magpies form a bridge across the heavens. This tale transcends romance, symbolising an invisible bond that defies time, space, and destiny.

Through Prada’s distinctive visual storytelling, the myth is reimagined against the modern urban rhythms of Shanghai. Bridges, deeply rooted in Chinese cultural history, carry symbolic weight as silent witnesses to countless touching stories.

For the 2025 Qixi campaign, Prada enlists brand ambassador Li Xian and brand friend Chen Haoyu as the protagonists, journeying across seven iconic Shanghai bridges—Zhejiang Road Bridge, Shanxi Road Bridge, Fujian Road Bridge, Wuzhen Road Bridge, Xizang Road Bridge, Waibaidu Bridge, and Yangpu Bridge.

Each bridge becomes a silent point of convergence, tethering hearts and carrying possibilities, demonstrating how emotional connections can transcend distance and barriers. The interplay of city lights and shadows creates a cinematic backdrop, with every frame hinting at the chance of reunion.

The Qixi collection captures the fast-paced energy of city life while balancing functional design with understated elegance.

Women’s Collection: Classic pyjama-inspired designs are updated with glossy piped finishes and ruched wrap skirts. A pastel pink twill zip jacket softens the urban silhouette, while pointed heels with unfinished crown-like detailing and the soft Dada handbag add depth and sophistication.

Men’s Collection: Vintage-inspired tailoring is refined with relaxed yet polished ease. Lightweight outerwear suits the rhythm of modern life, paired with aviation-inspired shirts and lambswool knits trimmed with contrast piping. Distressed denim or loose mohair trousers complete the look, while worn-in sneakers add a final touch of understated luxury.
